The sea and the beaches

CivicoUno Campiglia is located a few kilometers from the beautiful beaches of the Etruscan Coast with the prestigious and intact “Gulf of Baratti” with its centuries-old pinewood and the ancient Populonia.

The Etruscan coast is a stretch of sea between Livorno and Piombino that collects the most beautiful and cleanest beaches in central Italy, so called because in these places was born and developed the Etruscan civilization that left an indelible mark on the fabric and in the works carried out, some of which are still visible.

The coasts leave enchanted. The blue of the sea, the bright red sunsets, the beaches that glisten in the sun, are just some of the many memories that will remain etched in your memory after visiting them.

The small coves, accessible by sea or on foot will be a safe haven for your relaxing hours.

The baths in the clear and uncontaminated sea will be cool for the long summer days.

We start south of the town of Piombino where we find the white and sandy beaches of the Parco della Sterpaia. Torre Mozza, dominated by an ancient tower of 1300 placed directly on the beach and 30 meters from the shore hides the remains of the ancient Via Aurelia, on the water. A little further on Mortelliccio, Perelli, all easily reachable by car or by bicycle with convenient parking lots and equipped areas.

North of Piombino instead is the beautiful and bright beach of Cala Moresca meeting place for those who want to drink an aperitif at sunset.

Going further north is the promontory of Populonia with its coves easily accessible from the sea or from the ground to the most trained. Buca delle Fate, Fossa alle Canne, are just some of the dozens of small beaches and rocky inlets on the promontory.

A real jewel of the coast is the Gulf of Baratti, a delightful bay surrounded by thick Mediterranean vegetation, characterized by crystal clear water and extremely clean, also suitable for children for shallow waters. The wonderful pine forest on the edge of the beach is the crown of a true queen of the Mediterranean sea.

Going back to the north there is the long and beautiful beach of the Rimigliano Park, bordered by a long pinewood. 10 km of free and uncontaminated beach, summer prey for those who want to stay in absolute relaxation surrounded by the wildest nature.

Until then to reach the beach of San Vincenzo, with very fine and soft sand. Ideal for holidays for families with children.
